Product Release Announcements

Version 3.26.1 of Janusseal App for Outlook has been released and is in operation for all Cloud Edition customers. This version includes:

• FIX: Some organizations have a setting not to show the classification dialog when replying or forwarding messages when the original message has a recognised classification marking. Version 3.26.0 was not respecting this setting and so the users of these organizations were then being asked to confirm the classification of the reply. This has been fixed in 3.26.1 so that the classification of a reply/forward does not have to be confirmed if the original had a marking and the organization's settings say confirmation is not required.
• FIX: For meetings in the organizer's calendar, any change they made to the meeting that resulted in participants being notified of the change, after the send update the meeting's body would have the classification marking applied again rather than replacing the existing one. This is fixed in this release.
• FIX: Resolved an issue where use of the Compose Task side pane side could allow reply/forward emails to be sent a lower classification than the original without warning, bypassing downgrade prevention.
• FIX: Selecting a caveat that supprted the entry of variable (free) text would reset the dialog scroll position to the top of the list; users were required to scroll back down to complete the text field of the caveat. This has been rectified in version 3.26.1. Note: no customers are yet using these types of caveats.
• FIX: If an organization's settings had multiple namespaces (different sets of classification terms from different vertical sectors, like commercial and government) and the sender of a message swapped namespace in the On Send Classification Dialog, then after selecting the classification in the other namespace and clicking the Send button the Janusseal classification dialog would close but the email would not be sent. This has been fixed in version 3.26.1; in production no customers have a configuration using more than one namespace.
• FIX: Resolved an issue where attaching an unmarked Office file and the organization's settings were to scan attachments for classification metadata was set to true, then the Janusseal classification dialog was not popping up and the message was never sent.
• ENHANCEMENT: updates to client side third party libraries used in the product.

Customers can contact Janusnet to have these features configured for them, or their designated Janusseal App administrator(s) can use the online configuration editor to adjust for themselves.

Janusseal App for Outlook is the Office web add-in from Janusnet for enhancing Outlook (Windows, Mac and online/web version) with security classification capability; it is not Janusseal for Outlook which is the Office COM add-in for enhancing the Windows version of Outlook with such capability.
